Air Systems provided design-build services to create and install customized HVAC solutions for a newly constructed medical office. We used an integrated project delivery method to complete this project in the most efficient way possible.
Client Objectives
Sutter Health needed to expand their facilities in Castro Valley, CA. They built a new, four-story, core and shell medical office, and Air Systems was contracted to provide design-build HVAC solutions due to our long-standing relationship and project history with the customer.
Solutions
For this project, we:
- Installed 250,000 cubic feet/minute variable air volume system
- Implemented a fully water-cooled chilled water plant and a fully gas-powered hot water plant
- Installed automated logic control (ALC) building automation system

Sutter Health is a not-for-profit integrated health delivery system headquartered in Sacramento, California. It operates 24 acute care hospitals and over 200 clinics in Northern California.
