Art attended California Polytechnical State University in San Luis Obispo, CA, where he received two bachelor’s degrees: one in environmental engineering and another in engineering technology.

He is certified as a Professional Engineer in the state of California. Art is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the International Facility Management Association, and is a board member of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) Bay Area. Additionally, he is the Vice President of the Air Systems Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors.

Art has extensive professional project experience in the commercial, semi-conductor, and biotech spaces. In the commercial sector, he has worked on multi-building projects for outpatient centers, convention centers, training facilities, and more. His project experience in the biotech and semi-conductor fields includes cleanrooms, labs, process piping systems, fume hoods, and process waste treatment systems.

The Personal Side

Among his many interests, Art is an active member of the Rotary Club of San Jose and the San Jose Chamber of Commerce, as well as Board President for Santa Clara County Boy Scouts of America.
