Project Location:

Stanford Football Stadium, Palo Alto, CA

Scope of Services:

Contractor for architectural sheet metal to design, fabricate all install miscellaneous metals for the new construction of a football stadium.

Value:

Final Contract $344,561

Description:

The architectural sheet metal design-build team of Air Systems was awarded this contract which started in late May 2006. Additional items being added daily up to the final deadline in September.

This design included two levels of seating close to the field with outstanding viewing from any location. The sky box and elevator towers were constructed of curtain wall glass including custom copper panels and copper coping caps.

The main mezzanine level consisted of an open air walkway supported by reinforced structural steel columns. The open air walkway houses numerous inner buildings for food service and restroom facilities. The buildings are metal framed constructed each with a stainless coping cap and stainless trims around each doorway.

Stainless steel protective hoods were placed over television monitors located throughout the mezzanine level.

Air Systems designed, fabricated, painted and installed 234 column covers that can be seen throughout the stadium.

The completion date of this job was unique in that when they requested that finish this job before the "kick-off", this literally meant that our deadline was the opening game for the Stanford Cardinals 2006 Football.

Through a lot of hard work and dedication we were able to make that "kick-off"!
